Da dove nasce la tua passione per la danza? Quando hai capito che sarebbe stata la “strada giusta”?
Ho iniziato a fare danza che non avevo ancora compiuto 4 anni. Mio papà ha una scuola di musica ed a volte mi portava lì, quando un giorno nella sala accanto sentii una musica e la voce ritmata della maestra, corsi lì, e lì qualcosa in me scattò. Avevano paura fossi troppo piccola per iniziare, ero un microbo indisciplinato, ma da quel giorno fino ad oggi, per 18 anni, la danza è compagna di vita. Non c’è stato un momento preciso in cui ho capito che la danza potesse diventare la mia strada, l’ho capito pian piano, quando vedevo che era al primo posto, quando sopra al palcoscenico mi sentivo sempre più completa, quando ad ogni limite non mi arrendevo mai. Sono sempre stata fuori casa ad approfondire i miei studi artistici ma c’è stato un momento in cui ho avuto paura, perché l’arte è un mondo a parte, così ricco di anima ma così tanto rischioso, ed ho intrapreso la strada più “semplice”, ho iniziato l’università fin quando il mio stomaco era perennemente vuoto (anche se mangio tantissimo) e manca la danza. Da lì, sono qui, a Milano da due anni.
Ormai da qualche anno ti sei tuffata in una realtà molto più grande di quella altotiberina: come ti trovi a Milano? Pensi che “cambiare aria” sia stato fondamentale o si può costruire una carriera di successo anche in Valtiberina?
Milano è stata la mia “ventura e sventura, inesauribile e pura”. Una Milano che ha messo a dura prova me non solo come ballerina, ma come persona. Ha messo a dura prova le mie fragilità, paure e certezze. Mi ha portato fuori dagli schemi, e per fare arte so che bisogna uscirne fuori, ma per me è stato tanto difficile.
Difficile perché nonostante la mia esuberanza (caratteristica che credo indispensabile per essere un “animale da palcoscenico”) sono una ragazza molto consapevole e buona, non esiste competizione per me se non quella con i limite che incontro ogni giorno su me stessa. Non è facile perché quando vivi solo e vivi questo tipo di vita, le certezze non sono più tali, inizi a fare un resoconto giornaliero di tutti e tutto ciò che hai attorno. Difficile fin quando mi sono vista a terra e con un grande salto sono ritornata in punta di piedi a “spaccare tutto”. Vivo di questo.
Non denigro la Valtiberina, penso che nel nostro piccolo abbiamo grandi realtà, e penso che se tante persone in ambiti diversi, si sono realizzate bene è perché dalla nostra Valtiberina si formano basi solide. Ma è un dato di fatto che per conoscere, imparare, migliorare c’è bisogno di vedere il più possibile, soprattutto per chi fa qualcosa più di nicchia, quindi penso sia fondamentale fare un’esperienza come la mia a Milano.
Cosa si prova nel far parte di un gruppo “di riferimento” per la danza come OrmarsLab? Se dovessi descriverlo con 3 parole, quali useresti?
OrmarsLab per me è arte, anima e creatività. Ho trovato la realtà che avevo nella mia concezione di danza, indossare qualsiasi stile, in qualsiasi forma e con qualsiasi strumento. Crearsi una propria identità.
Quanto incide l’esperienza di insegnanti che lavorano nel mondo dello spettacolo nella tua formazione personale?
Per me un insegnante di danza riveste un ruolo di riferimento anche a livello umano, perché lui/lei è l’identificazione del tuo obiettivo. Ho la fortuna di lavorare con dei veri artisti che trasmettono già solo con gli occhi quello che è la danza, l’anima e la comunicazione. Insegnanti che vivono di ciò che amano e che ti donano gli stimoli giusti per andare avanti in questa magnifica a salita. Insegnanti con un background da invidia (sana).
Sei stata inserita nel gruppo di ballo che aprirà la finale di Italia’s Got Talent. Come hai reagito alla “convocazione”?

Ho l’onore e la fortuna di lavorare in sala quasi quotidianamente con Thomas Signorelli, coreografo televisivo e non solo, che crede molto nel suo lavoro e nel lavoro delle persone che lo seguono. Mi ha dato questa possibilità, credendo in me, è stata una sfida, una grande sfida, perché dietro ad un solo minuto coreografico c’è un lavoro di tante ore con tante paure. Sono stata incredula fino alla diretta, lavorare con professionisti, e lavorare come professionista, passare ore anche solo per un passo, un semplice passo che li con mille luci, persone, e meccanismi televisivi, faceva la differenza. È stato un piccolo passo, ma una grande esperienza. È stato un donare a tutte le persone che guardavano un sorriso in più. “Tra le meraviglie della danza c’è quella di poter dare immaginazione a tutti gli altri che vivono senza fantasia. E regalare stupore ai disillusi.”
